I don't care what Punxsutawney Phil saw yesterday. I went ahead and fixed a good old fashioned barbecue dinner last night. Lit up the grill, threw on some hamburgers and hot dogs, baked up some delicious baked beans, made some potato salad, opened a bag of chips, invited over some friends, ignored the temperature and had a grand time! Hopefully Mother Nature will ignore Phil also and bring on da funk(and by funk I mean spring)!

Yum, dinner sounds like it was wonderful.
I can't believe he saw his shadow - I'm ready for spring!!!!!!sandie
Wish I was at your house for barbeque!
Beans, potato salad yummo. My husband just brought the barbequer up to the new house today and cleaned the hell out of it. Saturday is his birthday and come hell or high water he's barbequing! I can't wait! Friday I'm taking him out to a restaurant to surprise him where all the family and friends will be there to jump this 50 year old. Oh yeah "Exotic Miss Piggy" will be there too. And he hates to be the center of attention, but were all older then him by 3years and we heard enough laughing at us old farts. Pay backs a b..ch!!
thanks for visiting our blog (a corgi in Southern California)
good idea to have a barbecue on ground hogs name; sounds like it was a good menu and with friends, I'm sure it was a delightful time!!
hoping it will be an early spring for you :)

Thanks for visiting - I tried to check in with all who stop by... Our family does a lot of snowmobiling so not quite ready for spring but some not below zero stuff would be grand!
When Phil calls for six more weeks of winter, I flip him the bird and then ignore him.
Hmmm....that's the majority of the time.....
I'm still hopeful spring will be early. In our part of the country it's probably more than 6 weeks away though....blah!!
Your BBQ sounds great. If the weather wasn't calling for sleet for the next few days I'd break out the grill too.
Have a great day.

Good for you - that sounds like a lot of fun and yummy!
I'm hoping for spring too.
You can tell by the look on P.P.'s face, he doesn't know what he's talkin' about! You have a perfect way to celebrate groundhog day! Wish I lived close! The potato salad sounds delicious!
Your optimistic spirit is to admired! Maybe I'll follow your lead!
I am sending you a message from Carol from CUrly WIllow Ranch - she asked me to give it to you:
Hey.......I need sort of a favor....."Life is Good" comments on my blog weekly and although I visit hers on a weekly basis I can't seem to leave a message!!!!!
"Next time you comment on her page would you tell her "HI" from Curly Willows Ranch and how much I enjoy reading her blog? (There's no e- mail her profile or else I'd contact her myself.)
I'd really much appreciate this..............Thanks."

Yum ! BBQ ! Oh I envy you =)
Oh, I couldn't agree more! I put our "Welcome Spring" wreath up on the front door even though snow was scattered on the lawn.
I hopped over here from Joyful Chaos.

Oh , amen to that ! Thanks for enjoying my breathe of spring this morning. Well it was mid summer, but still. It's better than February.
I'm ready to welcome spring and dry weather with open arms.
Now THAT sounds like a fun idea!! I'm there ~ ♥
