What a Thanksgiving Week it has been!
Tuesday before Thanksgiving son and daughter in law
arrive with 3 labs.
Wednesday night order pizza for 16 of my favorite
people on earth, take everyone to "A Christmas Carol".
It was a mixed review. Not everyone
loved it as I did.
After movie everyone went their
separate ways, most went to another movie.
Thursday was a wonderful day. Had dinner
at my moms. She fixed an amazing dinner and feed
50 folks!
Most of my crew went to different movies that evening.
2 of my children went with me to the airport to pick a friend from
England who is staying with us for 2 weeks.
Took her to my moms house for the night because
we have no more room here at our inn until Friday
when son, daughter in law and 3 labs leave to go home.
Friday morning picked up friend from my moms house.
Changed sheets in guest bedroom, got her settled.
Son, daughter in law and 3 dogs ask us
if they can stay for a couple more days
if they sleep in the living room.
Of course they can stay!
Saturday morning pick up 4 grandchildren
to make our annual gingerbread houses.
Frosting, candy and fun everywhere(and 5 dogs)!
Take 1 daughter and 4 grand loves to McDonalds for lunch.
Drop them off at home.

Dishes, vacuuming dog hair, cooking, dishes, vacuuming dog hair, cooking!
Sunday saying good bye to son, daughter in law and 3 dogs!
What a crazy crazy week.
I wouldn't want it any other way!

Oh my God! I am sure that you had a wonderful time, nothing like family and the holiday's. Are you tired yet? Can't believe your mom cooked for so many!

It sounds like you had lots of fun with all of your loved ones! The dogs are all so cute!! We had four toy poodles here most of the time.

Oh, and my parents have bought a home right around the corner just a few doors down but haven't retired to live there permanently yet. They still live full-time in Houston. But, it is nice that when they come into town they have their own home, furnished with beds and furniture and stay there.

50 people?! Oh my goodness... your mother is super woman. Holy cow!
I also almost died laughing when I saw your photos. That is exactly how our holidays sort of look; however, we're stupid enough to let the dogs stay inside! You can imagine the chaos that ensues when they're running all around, bumping in to things and scurrying under the table. The worst part? Most of our dogs and dog visitors are 140+lbs! It makes for an interesting meal. :)

I am so happy you've been having a wonderful start to the holiday season. Busy, but wonderful! :)

What a wonderful Thanksgiving! And I love those dogs...we had chocolate labs for years but lost our last one, Gracie last year about this time. Oh, how we cried! So far, my husband says "no more dogs." We'll see...since they were always HIS faithful hunting companions.

I'm a new reader - but it sounds to me like you might be resting this week.

Atlanta is beautiful, but I suspect Utah is really nice during the summer and winter for the snow. Our summers are hot!
